Lesson 6 Tell What It Is by Feeling Teaching Contents: 1.
Review the vocabulary and grammar points of lesson 6 2.
Teach the dialogue in the “let’s talk ”
Teaching goals:
1.Let the students undertake the five senses and the corresponding sentences. 2.Let them know the meaning of the dialogue and let them read it fluently. 3.Let them learn to feel all the things around them with their deep heart. Key and different points: Key points: ①the vocabulary and the usage of the five senses. ②the dialogue Teaching aids: PPT, video, letter cards.
Teaching procedures: 1.warm- up: ask the students the question : “
How do you feel today ?”
2.lead in : tell the students a story about the “
five senses”, thus reviewing the four words among the five senses except “ look”. After that, show them a video about “look”: We can see a monster, we can see a dinosaur , we can see a dragon and so on. 3. review the grammar points about the five senses:
①:smell: see-say: see the sentences so as to the pictures and let them read: I smell flowers. I smell perfume. I smell garbage……
②:Q/A( questions and answers):How does the chocolate taste ? How do the lemons taste ? How does the pepper taste ?........
③:Choose the right words and fii in the blanks: Pair work
4.Dialogue
(1).warm-up: Listen and choose. ( finish a work sheet) (2).practice: ①: Can you tell what it is by feeling ?
a.show a picture to the students so as to let them know the meaning of this sentence. b.let some students touch some fruit and ask them : Can you tell what it is by feeling ? c. give each group some letter cards and let them put them in a correct order. ( Let two groups come to the front of the classroom and put the letter cards in a correct order. ②:the contents in the second picture. a.
Lead in the sentence of “close your eyes”
by reviewing the phrase: close the door, thus letting them understand the meaning of that sentence. b.
It feels round and smooth: look at the pictures and finish the sentences. c.
Practice the interrogative sentences by changing the declarative sentences. ③the contents in the third picture: a.
have a taste: see the picture and read b.
see-touch –say: practice the phrase c.
see the pictures and finish the sentence: It’s sweet , it’s a grape. ④.the contents in the fourth picture: Questions and answers:
Do you like …..? (3) Role-play
