一、教材分析

本模块主要的语言功能是描述他人的性格特点和学习表现。这个模块是对本册第一模块的延伸，在增加了一些形容词的同时，也出现了一些新的词汇和语法知识，如

lazy work hard和第三人称单数动词的变化等，这样学生就能运用更丰富的预言来形容各具特点的人们。

二、教学目标与要求

1、知识与能力目标

⑴

The students can describe a person’s personality and talk about one’s performance at school. ⑵

认读单词：work, hard, speak. ⑶

初步认读句子：Is Daming naughty in class? No, he isn’t. His work is good. I’m happy with that. Thank you.

2、德育目标：通过学生的自我评价，以及互相评价，给每一位学生找到自己的优点，树立其自信心，提高学习热情和主动性。

三、教学重点及难点

⑴

重点：掌握新单词，了解新句型，在此基础上理解课文内容。并能简单的利用句型和学过的形容词描述他人在学校的表现。

⑵

难点：be动词及其否定形式的灵活运用;第三人称单数主语后的动词形式。

四、教学过程 Step 1 Warm up 1．Have the students say a poem on page5. 2．Do you like playing games? Let’s play the balloon games together.

3．In module 1, we have known some friends. Look some pictures.

4. kitty is lazy, so that means she doesn’t work hard.

5. show a picture, he doesn’t work hard? No, so he works hard. Step 2

Task Presentation

After learning, please tell us who is your model. Step 3 Text learning 1.

Look at the picture. Who are they? Where are they? What are Daming’s parents going to do? ( new word:parents) 2.

Watch the CD-ROM and try to answer the question: what are Daming’s parents going to do? (new word:speak) 3.

Listen, repeat and answer three question. 1) Is he naughty? 2) is he lazy? 3) is he clever? 4.

Look at the report of Daming. Are they happy with Daming? 5.

Look through the text quickly and try to fill in the blanks. Step 4 practice

Show pictures of ss. And do pair works. One ask: is he/she…? Yes, he/she is No, he/she isn’t.
