教学内容:
PEP小学英语第七册Unit 2 Where Is the Science Museum? B Let’s learn. 教学目标:
一、知识技能目标:
1.能够听、说、认读四个方位词:south, east, west, north。
2.能够听、说、读、写短语:turn left, turn right, go straight。
3.能够听、说、认读句型:“How can I get to the museum ?Go straight for five minutes.”并能进行关键词的替换操练。
二、能力目标:
能够询问路线并简单回答,如:“How can I get to the museum ?Go straight for five minute.”
三、情感目标:
1.培养学生热爱祖国,乐于助人的良好品质。
2.使学生愿意积极与他人合作,互相帮助,共同完成学习任务。
教学重难点
重点:掌握四会短语:turn left, turn right, go straight
难点:straight的发音和拼写
教学媒体
1.教师准备录音机。
2. 教师准备多媒体课件。
教学过程:
Step One:Greetings Step Two:Revision 1.Revise the places. First the students say the places. Then show a map to revise the places. 2. Asking the way: How can I get to the…?First the teacher asks the students. Then the students ask and answer in pairs. (设计意图:通过学生自述以及利用大屏幕上的地图来复习本单元涉及到的地点名词,并让学生就如何到达某一地点进行针对性问答,有效复习How can I get to…?Walk straight for…minutes.句型,为新语言的教学奠定基础。) 3.The teacher asks: How can I get to the science museum? The students answer. Then the teacher says, there is a science show in the museum. Let’s go and have a
look.
(设计意图:教师询问如何到达博物馆,点出博物馆内有科技展览,巧妙引出下面的磁铁和指南针。) Step Three: Teach “north,south,east,west”
1. Show the magnets. Look!They are magnets. What letters can you see on the magnets. The students answer “N, S”. Ask them the reason.
2. Show “N , S” on the screen, Tell them “N” is the first letter of “north”, teach “north”. “S”
is the first letter of “south”. Teach “south”. Tell them attention to the phonic of “th”. 3. Show compass. Tell them: Compass is one of the Four Inventions of China. We are very proud of Four Inventions. We’re very proud of China. Ask the students to find out the other two letters“W, E”.
4. Show the letters and the meaning on the screen. Show the words “east”, “west” on the screen, too. Teach the words “west, east”. (设计意图:利用学生在科学课上已经学过的磁铁和指南针的知识教学north, south, west, east,即达到了对本课单词的教学目的,又实现了学科间的整合。指南针是中国的四大发明之一,它在教学中的引用,使学生对祖国的热爱之情更深一层。) 5. Pointing. Point to the directions. (设计意图:通过边指方向边说词,加深学生对方位词的印象。) Step Four:Game Show a compass on the screen. Let’s look at the red side. It points to north now. It will turn around, please guess, when it stops, Which side it will point to. (设计意图:猜一猜的游戏是学生喜闻乐见的游戏之一,此环节的设计有效地巩固所学知识。学生在游戏中可以体会到成功的喜悦,进而激发了学生的学习兴趣,体现在快乐中学习的教学理念。) Step Five:
Talk about the cities’ location of China. 1. Show a map of China. Get the students to look at the directions on the map. Tell them on a map, north is up, south is down, west is left, east is right.
2. Ask: Where is Hainan? Show the answer on the screen. Hainan is in the south of China.
3. The students talk about the location of other cities in pairs.
(设计意图:通过谈论中国某城市的位置来练习方向词,将词的应用融入句子当中。同时加深学生对中国领土的认识,潜移默化地进行爱国主义思想教育。此环
节的设计,也是对课本知识的一个拓展,是对教材的创造性使用。) Step Six: Listen and dance You did a very good job. I am very happy. Here is a happy rabbit, too. What is the rabbit doing? He is dancing the 《Rabbit dance》. Let’s listen to the music and dance with the rabbit. (设计意图:听歌跳舞的目的一是为了放松学生的紧张情绪,做到教学有张有弛,更重要的是为了引出turn left, turn right, go straight的教学。)
Step Seven: Turn left
Turn right
Go straight 1. What do you hear in this song? The students answer: left
right
go (Write down the words on the blackboard) 2. Teach “turn left,
turn right,go straight” by using actions. Tell them to pay attention to the pronunciation of “straight” / streit /, not /stri:t/. The students do the actions and say the phrases.. Then try to remember the spelling of the phrases. (设计意图:边做动作,边教授新知,边学边做,学生的全身都参与到学习当中,让新知在学生头脑中形成深刻的印象。)
3. Show the picture and the words on the screen. The students choose the correct answers.
4. Listen and do. First teacher gives the order: Turn left. Turn right. Go straight. Then do a group work. (设计意图:在小组中通过听做练习所学内容,有利于新知识的掌握,并培养了学生的小组合作意识。) Step Eight Listen and repeat Listen to the tape and repeat after the tape. (设计意图:通过听录音,跟读,达到正因正调的效果。) Step Nine: Asking the way 1 Show a map of the school with the places around the school. The students say the places around the school. 2 Ask: How can I get to the …?
Then the students ask and answer in pairs.
(设计意图:运用一张学校周边环境的地图,通过让学生谈论如何到达学校周边的某个地点,将本课所学知识进行综合运用,让学生感受到英语就在生活之中,让学生能够学以致用,达到真交际的目的。) Step Ten: Consolidation
Show the exercises on the screen. 1. Write down the directions of China’s map.
2. Fill in the blanks.
(设计意图:考查学生对本课重点知识的掌握情况,尤其是对四会词句的书写。) Step Eleven: Homework
Draw a map of your village. Ask the way with your friends. (设计意图:让学生在家中画一画自己村子的地图,利用本村地图同朋友进行问路、指路问答,把课堂上所学的知识运用到生活实际中去,将英语课堂活动延伸到课外。)
