A FACT OR AN OPINPION?
教学内容：必修二，unit 1, using language: a fact or an opinion? 教学目标：
1. 让学生运用找读的方法在文章中查找事实，观点和证据的定义；
2. 让学生理解事实，观点和证据的概念，判断所听到或读到的内容是事实还是观点。
教学重点：事实与观点的概念
教学难点：学会判断什么是事实，什么是观点。
教学方法：小组讨论，听说读写相结合（边听边读，先听后说，先说后写）。
教学手段：黑板；MP3; PPT 教学步骤：
Step one: Lead- in
Talking 1.
Look at the sentences and talk about whether they are facts or opinions. 2.
Read the passage and find out: (1)
What is an opinion? (2)
What is a fact? (3)
What is an evidence?
Summary: Verbal clues to identifying a fact and an opinion. Step two: Reading and expressing 1.
Read a story about what happened to the Amber Room, decide whether it’s a fact or an opinion, and give your reasons. 2.
Fill in the chart about the detailed information of the story. Step three: Listening and understanding
Listen to another two people talking about the same story, and fill in the blanks. Step four: Pair discussion and writing
Discuss in pairs which person gave the best evidence, using the information in the former section and write down the reasons. Step five: Presentation 1.
Share your ideas with another group and choose the one with the best reasons.

Present your discussion to the class. Step six: Homework
