Translate the Chinese sentences by using new words and grammar. Major Steps and Time Allocation Step 1 Listening and picking out new words.(5min) Students listen to three scripts read by their classmates and pick out the core words. Students think out some expressions related to the core words in the listening scripts. Step 2 Practise the new words by doing some exercises(5min) Step 3 Introduction of new phrases.(3min) Students do the phrases-filling on their hand out and then read together. Step 4 Practice the new phrases by doing some exercises.(5min) Students do the exercise together and summarize the usage of the new phrases. Step 5 Write some sentences with new words and grammar.(15-20min)

Students do the translate some Chinese sentences into English by working in teams. Students correct their own mistakes by discussing and asking the teacher for help. The teacher shows the correct answer and teach some ways to connect the sentences into a paragraph. Step 6 Summarize what we have learned. (3min) Activities and Justifications Q and A about the task Group discussion Mark students’ writing and comment on their performance 反思：本节课主要存在两个问题。第一，实际课堂进程与时间安排不太相符，略显前松后紧。第二，利用阅读方式对学生的评分环节，学生的参与度不高，下次可采用投影给学生看的方式。
