Communicative method Step I Revision Check the answers of exercises for homework StepⅡ Lead- in 1.Put some prepared sentences on the blackboard and ask the students to decide in pairs whether they are facts or opinions. 2. Read the passage and think about the differences between a fact and an opinion. A fact is anything that can be proved. An opinion is what someone believe is true but has not been proved. Step III While-reading Give the students limited time to answer the questions on page5 (part3)

Listen to Ss talking and give some comments. Group’s Volunteers to show their groups’ answers and the other groups listen to it carefully and write down on the textbook. Step VI post-reading Read a man’s story about what happened to the Amber Room quickly. Do you think it is a fact or an opinion? Give your reasons. (Students may say like this:I think it is an opinion that what is in boxes is gold or the Amber Room. Because Jan Hasek did not see what was in the boxes. He listened to other people’s ideas of what might have been inside. So his evidence is an opinion.) Read the story again and fill in the table. (On Page 5) Step V

Activities

If you have found the Amber Room, what will you do with it? Will you keep it or will you give it to the government? After Ss have finished writing, T can show 1 or 2 replies to the whole class. 板书设计
