unit 4 : It’s Red period 1
一、Teaching Aims:
1. Knowledge aims:
①Four-skill words: yellow,red,blue,nose , hat , box, Look at me.
②Three-skill words: color (颜色)Put them on! Put it on!
③Key structures:What color is it ? It’s ……..
2. Ability aims:
By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. scan the dialogue and find out what’s in the box ?;
2. get to know the meaning of “color” both in spoken and written forms, and pronounce it clearly;
3. use the words “yellow,red,blue,nose , hat , box,” both in speaking and writing;
4. use structures like “What color is it ? It’s ……..” to talk about the colors in English .
3.Focus of the lesson:
1. understanding the dialogue as a whole;
2. read the structures with the right pronunciation, intona tion and sentence stress. “What color is it ? It’s ……..”
4.Predicted area of difficulty:
1.Students can distinguish hat and cap .
2. The pronunciation of “yellow,red,blue,nose , hat , box,”;
3. The meaning and usage of some expressions about colors, suc h as “What color is it?”

Step I : Lead-in Sing a song. “What color is it ?”
StepII : Presentation
1. (ppt1) fox---box , cat---hat
Show a cap and a hat to compare them. (ppt2)
T: (point to the box) It’s yellow .It’s a yellow box.
T: (point to the hat) What color is it ?
S1 :It’s red .
T: (point to the nose) What color is it ?
S1 :It’s blue .
2. Learn to read the new words.
StepIII: Practise

2.Check some pairs.
