Step 3 Discussion

Nicolaus Copernicus had hidden his theory for so many years before published, so do you think he is cautions or coward? Let’s have a discussion. S1: (cautions) Reasons as following: 1. He was cautious. If he had published his ideas, he would have been killed just as Bruno who was burned to death because his theory was against the Christian Church.

2. Every time when a new idea appears, there are always rejections. It’s normal. Scientists should have patience to spread their truth.

3. It made no sense for him to publish his theory in a hurry. He was just cautious not coward. He should protect himself first.

S2: (coward) Reasons as following: 1. Copernicus was very coward. He should speak out his discovery and let the world

know the truth earlier.

2. As a scientist, you must have the courage to publish your findings. No matter how people oppose them, time will show if your ideas are right or wrong.

我们在课堂中所说得“good”，“exactly correct”等等一系列的话语都属于对学生的评价。我认为这样积极的评价会给学生们带来一定的鼓励作用，从而提高学生的学习兴趣。当然，对教师来说，正确的课堂自我评价也可以提高教师的教学水平随着新课改的实施每个教师都要重视课堂自我评价。通过自我评价来进行自我诊断、自我反思、自我调整和自我激励，从而实现自我提高、自我完善，现将我自己的课堂教学做如下的自我评价总结。

首先，上课前充分准备。为了在上课前能做好充分的准备，我不但细致地分析学生，充分地理解教材，精心地设计教学过程，选择恰当的教学方法，而且要对学生针对这一教学内容可能出现的情况作出预期评估。实践经验告诉我们，课堂前的充分准备是十分重要的课前准备越充分，教师在课堂上就越能更好的发挥，教学效果也就越好；反之，在教学过程中很容易出现问题而教师却无从下手出现僵局。

其次，课堂上充分调动学生主动参与。教学是教与学得两个主体教师与学生共同参与的活动，而教师的教主要是为了学生的学，教师教的重要任务之一是如何让学生认真听讲、主动思维、积极配合、自觉学习，所以在课堂上我改变了教师一人唱主角的教学模式，充分调动学生主动参与

在学生主动参与的过程中可以激发学生的兴趣，培养学生自学能力，使学生产生学习的渴望和动机，真正实现学生的主体性。

最后，教学设计在课堂上发挥了淋漓尽致的作用。教学设计是对教学过程以及教学中可能出现的问题和解决方法的一种事先预设，因此我精心准备，让它具备合理性，科学性和前瞻性。

新课程标准提倡“自主、合作、探究”的学习方式，同时人类已经跨入信息化时代，科技进步日新月异，经济生活的全球化和社会生活的信息化，使国际合作交往日益频繁，因此善于合作是现代人必须具备的性格特点。核心素养概念的提出，是我们国家顺应世界教育改革发展潮流，从国家战略的高度，为新世纪教育改革确

立的发展方向。核心素养下的英语教学，应该课堂真实、自然而厚重，这是我们教学之路的永远追求。

课后反思

教学不是随着下课铃声的结束而结束，要提高教学水平，使教学效果不断提高，课后反思是必不可少的课后的反思具有现实性和批判性，是教师在课后对自己的行动、想法和作法的思考，做好教学的课后反思，每一节课下来都要思考一下：教学目标是否实现，教学任务是否完成；重点是否突出，难点是否突破；课堂中出现的新情况，是否应对合理；并找出差距，分析原因，总结经验，吸取教训，优秀的方面继续发扬，不好的方面逐渐纠正，从而进一步提升自己的教学水平。

通过这节课，我已经实现了教学目标，完成了教学任务，攻克了教学的重点难点。但是，由于学生的英语水平差，在提高学生的英语成绩上，还有很长的路要走。未来，我一定要使自己的教学方法更加灵活，课堂教学效果更好

如王蔷教授所说的一样，核心素养是学生应具备的，适应终身发展、社会发展需要的必备的品格和关键能力。这个是在英语教学中始终存在的，是不可丢弃的。所以在平时教学中，我们应该让学生多去尝试，而不是我们教师在上面进行“填鸭式”的给他们灌输知识。通过各种教学手段，让学生能够自己去学，自己去理解，自己去运用。
