本单元的话题是“英语幽默”。Reading 部分介绍了“非语言幽默大师”Charlie Chaplin在无声电影时代的精湛表演，学生对nonverbal humor有了一定了解。在此基础之上，本节课将围绕英语笑话和幽默故事展开，让学生透过文化差异去体会verbal humor，通过阅读英语短篇故事学习英语。

学生比较熟悉哑剧这种形式的幽默，也好理解其中的意义；但是学生对英语中通过文字游戏这种verbal humor比较陌生，不知道什么是“pun”or “punchline”，由于文化差异，学生对某些幽默理解得不太深入。基于此，老师要做好指导，由浅入深，带领学生仔细品味英语中的

verbal humor.

让学生了解什么是“pun”和“punchline”，并让学生品味这两种方法的妙用。

Part1中的Joke2理解起来比较困难，老师要带领学生仔细品味。
