Fight for a World of Reason教学设计

1.教学背景分析

教学内容分析：

本篇文章节选自卓别林主演的电影《大独裁者》中演讲的一段。《大独裁者》拍摄于1940年，当时正处于第二次世界大战。在电影中，卓别林一人分饰两角，一个是以希特勒为原型的大独裁者Hynkel，他以屠杀犹太人为目标；另一个是一个犹太理发师，为了自己的安全而想要逃离，结果在边境处被士兵误认为是与他长相相似的大独裁者而被士兵们拥戴这做了一个演讲。在演讲中，卓别林把自己对于世界战争的想法淋漓尽致地表达出来——他热爱和平，厌恶战争。他通过这段演讲呼吁全世界的人民联合起来，打败独裁者，创造新世界。

学生情况分析：

对于高二的学生来说，这篇文本有一定的难度，尤其是其中出现了很多生词。另外学生之间的差异也比较大，英语基础不够扎实，要想用英语熟练的表达自己的想法还存在一定的困难。最关键的一点是，学生们能否通过阅读文章达到情感上的共鸣。而这些都是通过这堂课以及老师的引导得到完成。

2.教学目标分析

1）通过阅读文章，理解文章大意，理清文章情感走向，为最后的续写做好准备。

2）分析文章的过程中突出重点词汇及短语，实现学生由知识输入转为输出。

3）了解演讲的语言特点，以准备续写文章结尾。

3.教学重点、难点分析

教学重点：

通过提问、填表格、寻找关键词等方式分析文章，使学生了解文章主要内容和演讲特点，并能利用所输入的知识和背景给文章续写一个结尾。

教学难点：

合理运用演讲特点和恰当知识完成一篇结尾文章。

4.教学步骤设计

步骤1：Leading-in Briefly introduce the film “The Great Dictator” to the students and watch a video of the speech in the film. 设计意图：引出文章背景，通过观看视频是学生能对演讲的内容有大体了解，从而激发学生的学习兴趣。

步骤2：Presentation

After watching the video, ask the students to summarize the main idea of the whole passage. 设计意图：帮助学生在仔细阅读细节之前了解文章大意。

Analyze the passage paragraph by paragraph

Step 4: Give encouragement to make you act. 设计意图：（1）在课文阅读中培养学生归纳和总结的能力，以提高学生对全文的掌握。

（2）通过把课文分成3部分，让学生在结构上体会演讲的前三个阶段，即：让人知、让人信、让人激，为最后续写让人动铺垫。

步骤3：Continuation writing

Write an ending to the whole passage according to what we learned in the class. Pay attention to using as many words in the text as possible and using parallelism. Let’s use the power to fight for a new world. ___________________________ __________________________________________________________ 设计意图：通过对文章的梳理整合，把学到的知识转化为自己的语言并输出，提高学生“写”的能力，与高考教学要求一致。

步骤4：Make a speech Ask one of the students to present what he wrote to all the students. While making the speech, try to speak with strong emotion. 设计意图：通过模拟演讲，学生们不仅能更好的理解并融入文章，还能激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

步骤5：Appreciation Watch the original ending of the speech and compare your composition to the original one. 设计意图：观看最后一段演讲的视频可以帮助学生把自己的作文和原版比较，找出优缺点，以取得更大的进步。

步骤6：Assignment Polish your speech and practice it with your classmates.
