Unit 7 What can I do？（period1）

教学目标：

（一）语言目标

1、词汇：能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词和短语an old woman , help the

old

people on the road , make tea ,make cakes ,clean their houses ,make them happy ,weak ,slow . 2、句型：能用“what can I do ?”和“I can ...”提供帮助。

（二）应用目标

1、能用“what can I do ?”和“I can ...”提供帮助。

2、能听懂会说A部分的内容。

3、能表达自己可以提供哪些帮助，做一名尊敬老人，关爱老人，助人为乐的少先队员．

教学重难点：

1、重点：能听懂、会说、会读、会写新单词和短语an old woman , help the old people on the road , make tea ,make cakes ,clean their homes ,make them happy ,weak ,slow；能用“what can I do ?”和“I can ...”提供帮助。

教学过程：

Step 1 Warming up 1、greetings . 2、Quick repose 用课件快速出示相关的单词，学生快速说出看到的单词，如clean the floor ,play chess 等，旨在为本课“I can ...?”句型的操练输入更多的语言材料。

3、教师一边展示句型“what can you do at home?,一边询问学生能为家长或学校提供什么帮助，学生根据自己的实际情况进行回答，教师同时展示句型条“I can ...”。

如：T: what can you do at home?

S: I can clean my desk. T: What can you do at school? S: I can sing. Step 2: Presentation 1、New words and new sentences (1) 教授词组an old woman , an old man , the old people 课件展示一张老奶奶的图片，要学生猜测其年龄，引出词汇：an old woman。板书词汇an old woman（用红色粉笔标出an ),教师提醒学生 an 和

old 的连读。

课件继续展示一张老爷爷的图片，引导学生说出 an old man，同时出示老

爷爷和老奶奶的图片，教学词汇the old people，板书词组。

（2）学习词汇weak and slow 课件展示老人图片，教师问：Are the old people strong? The old people are not strong .They are weak .出示卡片weak ,领读句子“They are weak .”

教师做出跑步的动作，问：Can the old people run fast? Oh ,the old people cannot run fast .They are slow . 出示卡片slow ,领读句子They are slow . 课件再次展示老人图片

T：They are weak and slow. What can I do for them? (3)学习句型“what can I do ?”“I can ....”

课件呈现B部分图片，要求学生根据图片用I can...说说能为老人提供什么帮助。

教师板书句型“what can I do ?”“I can… ”，学生根据自己的实际情况选择图片说句子，教师将句子板书在黑板上。学生朗读句子。

T：

What can I do? S1: I can help old people on the road. S2: I can make tea for them. S3: I can make cakes for them. S4: I can clean their homes. S5: I can make them happy. ．．．．．．

（4）单词、句型操练。

开展单词记忆竞赛活动，鼓励学生多读多记本课新词组，并及时巩固所学短语和句型．

2、The text 课文学习，教师可分布循序渐进的引导学生熟悉课文。

（1）不打开书，只听录音。

任务一：How many things can the children do for the old people ? 任务二：What can Jane / Lingling / Anne / Mingming / Peter do for the old people ? （2）打开书，听第二遍，画出5件孩子们能提供的帮助，并找出他们分别做了什么．检查刚才自己听到的是否正确。

（3）听录音并跟读，注意himself的发音和“what can I do ?”的连读，引导学生正确模仿，提醒学生注意模仿语调，同时找出本课知识要点．

①, 当主语为第三人称单数形式时，谓语动词也要用第三人称单数形式．

②情态动词can没有人称和数的变化

Step 3 Group work 关爱老人，从我做起

1、情境：

假如周末我们班要去敬老院开展“送温暖活动”你能为他们做什么呢？

教师出示相关图片，组织学生用本堂课所学的词汇表达自己能为这些老人们

做点什么。

T：

2、分组调查，并填写到表格中。

Step 4 Homework 1、听一听，读一读：听读课文A／B 部分。

2、想一想，写一写：你能为老人做些什么并写在作业本上。
