《Unit 11 My birthday is in April.》教学设计

设计思路
本节课的设计主要依据教材内容及六年级学生的年龄特点,充分体现新课程标准下倡导的“让学生成为学习主体”的理念,使学生在情境中体验、感受和运用月份来进行英文表达。
教学目标
1、能够听、说、读、写六个关于月份的单词:January、February、March、April、May、June。
2、能够对听到的月份单词做出迅速的反应。
3、能够运用句型:When’s your birthday? My birthday is in…教学重点
会读、会写六个重点单词,并能运用重点句子对生日话题进行提问和回答。
教学难点
单词的正确发音以及能够准确无误的在情境中选用单词,并运用重点句型。
教学准备
单词卡片、句型卡片、多媒体。
一、Warming up 1. Greetings
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, teacher. T: OK. I’m glad to see you. Today we’ll learn the Unit 11 together. Are you ready? Ss: Yes. 2.
See a video T: Now let’s see the video. OK? Ss: OK. 二、Presentation and practice 1. Leading- in T: What have you learnt from the video? Ss: 月份. T: Yes. Look at this picture, there are many children, do you know them? Ss: Yes. They are Xiao Hui, David... T: They are come to the boy’s birthday party, do you want to know when the boy’s birthday is? Ss: Yes. T: Let’s guess. (通过猜测每个小朋友的生日,引出January、February、March这三个词)
2. Lead into the text
T: We know the boy’s birthday is in January, this girl’s birthday is in February, and Xiao Hui’s birthday is in March, do you want to know when’s David’s birthday? Ss: Yes. T: OK. Let’s follow David to the classroom. (听录音,进入课文学习)
3. Answer the questions (1)When’s David’s birthday? (2)What does David usually do on his birthday? (通过这两道题的答案,带领同学们一起学习April)
4. Fill in the blanks (让同学们根据自己了解的课文内容填空)
5. Learn the new words : May and June T: Look at the picture, let’s guess when the last girl’s birthday is? Ss: OK. (教师在给出的英文介绍中带领大家共同学习May和June)
6. Play a game 同学们利用本课重点句型练习对话:
When’s your birthday? My birthday is in__________. 7.
Match T: Who can do this on the board?
Ss: I can. (月份的中英文连线,找同学在白板上操作)
8. Listen and match T: Listen carefully and match the month with the animals. (将月份与小动物的生日连线)
9. I can write T: There is a message of me. Can you write like this? Give you 3 minutes. (给出模板,让学生自己练习写作)
三、Extension T: Are you happy on your birthday? Ss: Yes. T: But do you know the person you should thank for? Ss: ... T: Look this sentence: The birthday of the son, the suffering of the mother(儿的生日,娘的苦日). So what should we do? Ss: Help my mother... (情感升华,启发学生在日常生活中用自己的双手帮助自己的爸爸妈妈,体会爸爸妈妈的不容易)
四、Sum up 1. Now who can tell me what have you learnt from this class? 2. The birthday of the son, the suffering of the mother.
五、Homework 1. Recite the new words and the new sentences. 2. Read the new dialogue fluently. 3. Help your parents do some housework.
