Chapter 4 More about animals The 1st Period (Part A) Teaching Aims: I Knowledge and Ability a. Have pupils read and spell the words: eating, fighting, hopping, running, sleeping, swimming. b. Learn the present continuous tense to express what animals are doing: e.g. The elephant is sleeping. II Process and Method a. Set a real scene to make Ss learn and practice English more flexibly. b. Presentation by revision, watching, listening and reading. c. Practice by group exercise and competition. d. Production by activity. III Emotional Attitude and Value Don’t fight with others.
Important Points: To use the present continuous tense to express what animals are doing. Difficult Points: The writing of hopping, swimming and running.

ACTIVITIES PURPOSE 通过歌曲视频激起学生对动物词汇的记忆。
通过听录音和对动物的观察,让学生了解动物正在发生的动作。通过观看分词的视频及变形过程,了解分词的结构,并做动作增加其趣味性。
