2. Ability objectives(能力目标)：

（1）Students can sing the song of the “Let’s chant！”; （2）Students can finish the task; （3）Students can not only get the promotion of listening, speaking, reading and writing, but also can use the new sentences to talk in the oral expression flexibly.

3.Emotional objectives(情感目标): （1）Students can know more about table manners. （2）From these learning activities, students are interested in listening and speaking English. Students can obtain the spirits of autonomic-learning and team-work; （3）Students can build a great self-confidence from the encouragement.

Features of students(学生特点): Students in Grade Three are interested in learning English. They can pay attention to their lesson and answer the questions actively. However, they are not do well in listening and speaking because of the short-time learning of English.

The analysis of the knowledge(知识分析):

The topic of this unit is food and meals. This lesson is the second class of this unit. It is focused on four food (soup, rice, noodles, dumplings)and one sentence pattern( Would you like some soup? Yes, please./ No, thanks. )It aims to lead students to know and talk the table manners. Before this lesson, students have learned two verbs( eat and drink) and two sentences ( I’m thirsty/hungry. I want to drink/eat.) from the last lesson. It lays a foundation to this lesson. So this lesson is another important point of the discussion of table manners.

Part Five Teaching Procedures(教学过程）

Greetings T: Hello! Boys and girls, how are you? S: Fine, thank you, and you? ……

Step1： Warming-up and leading-in 1.

Warming-up（热身）and leading-in Activity: Look and say! Ask students to look at these pictures and fill in the blanks. Review the words and sentences in the last lesson. Words: table、food、eat and drink. Sentences: I’m thirsty. I want to drink.

I’m hungry. I want to eat. Are you hungry? Yes, I am. （Purpose：To review old knowledge and lead in new knowledge ）

Step2: Presentation（呈现新知）

（一）Learn new words: Show word cards: noodles、dumplings、soup、rice；

Use the similar pronunciation of the old words to guess the pronunciation of the new words;

Use many methods to practice the speaking ability if the students.

1. Listen and write! Ask students to listen and write these words into the right places. The teacher gives the students some advice if necessary. 2. Play a game.(Which word is missing?) Ask students to find the missing word to give them a deep impression of these words.

(Purpose:

To develop students’

learning ability of new words both in pronunciation, listening and writing)

(二)Learn new sentences: 1. Read new sentences: Would you like some__? Yes, please. / No, thanks. 2.

Listen and answer! Jenny would like some dumplings. (√) Jenny would like some soup. (×)

Purpose: To improve students’ listening ability and choose the right information.

Step 3: Practice（练习）

Let’s read! 1. Read by yourself(自己朗读)！

Students are asked to read themselves and find the new words. The teacher helps them to correct the wrong pronunciation. 2. Read by group（小组朗读）！

Students are divided into different groups to read and compete with other groups. The group which behaves well will be encouraged. Purpose: On one hand, it improves students’

methods of reading and develops students’ good reading habit. On the other hand, Students learn to communicate with their partners.

Step4: Consolidation(巩固) Activity one: Let’s show(对话表演)! 1. Two students make a group. 2. Each group asks at least two questions on the stage. 3. Words: noodles, dumplings, rice, soup, juice, tea Sentence pattern: A: Would you like some_____? B: Yes, please. / No, thanks. Compare the answers of each group and choose the good groups and give them encouragement. Activity Two: Let’s chant! Song: Are you hungry?

Students sing together. Purpose: To develop students’ learning ability of new words both in pronunciation and writing.

Step5: Summary(小结) Summary: Ask the students to sum up the lessons and write them down. The teacher helps them correct their mistakes. Purpose: To review what they have learned from this lesson.

Step6: Homework（作业）

1. Draw and write down the food you like. (画出并写出你喜欢的食物) 2. Ask your friends with“ Would you like some_____?” （询问朋友喜欢吃某种东西吗？）

Step7: Daily tips(日常贴士) Encourage students to eat more fruit and vegetables to keep a healthy body and develop a good eating habit. (鼓励学生应多吃蔬菜和水果来保持身体健康,养成良好的饮食习惯。) Purpose: To help students have a good eating habit.
