设计意图：

1. 培养学生跨文化意识，塑造学生文化品格。“培养小学生跨文化意识的研究”是我们研究的省级课题，如何以课堂为主阵地，培养学生的跨文化意识是我们研究的方向。湘教版教材Let’s know more是教材自改版以来，新增添的一个文化板块。于是，第一阶段，我们将课堂研究的重点之一放在let’s know more上。他呈现的是一个个凸显文化色彩的阅读文本。不同于常规的阅读课，在Travelling around China这个文本中，阅读我们的目标为reading for information.在学生获取信息的基础之上，拓展相关主题的文化知识。例如在Travelling around China这篇文章中，让学生观看

BBC视频，了解世界主要的以及一些有趣的交通方式。通过Let’s know more,为学生打开一扇了解世界的窗口，培养有文化情怀的中国人。

2.提升思维品质。培养学生的思维品质，是英语学科核心素养的重要组成部分。学贵有疑，引导学生根据5W看图提问，促进思维发展，为文本学习理清脉络；根据思维导图复述课文，帮助学生将抽象、复杂的知识思考图像化，使我们更容易理解和记忆；引导学生在理解大意的基础上，向深度思考，挖掘为什么，培养了学生的批判思维能力。

文章分为四个段落，结构有些相似。第一段重点指导，在上下文与图片中学习新单词的意思，而后引导学生通过思维导图复述课文。

我们研讨的方向。在学生已学完文本的基础上，为学生呈现专业、权威的BBC关于世界的旅游以及交通方式的视频。生动的画面，调动了学生的兴趣；原汁原味的英语视频，为学生提供了丰富的语言输入；同时，BBC鸟瞰世界站在全球的角度，以写实的画面，为学生呈现了世界上主要以及一些有趣的交通方式，开阔了学生的视野，增长了学生的知识，更让学生感受到了文化的多元性与丰富性。
