V-ing Form as Subject and Object 教学重点

1.Let Ss learn which verbs are followed by the -ing form as the object and which by the infinitive. 2. Get Ss to grasp which verbs can be followed by both the -ing form and the infinitive and have the same meaning. 3.Have Ss master which verbs can be followed by the -ing form and the infinitive but express different meanings. 教学难点

Step 1 Warming Up Let Ss enjoy a song “LOVE” sung by John Lennon and fill in the blank. Then check the answers with Ss.

动名词做主语往往表示经常性、习惯性的动作, 在口语中也可以表示具体的动作。如：

1. Helping her is my duty. 2.---What is the hen’s full-time job?

---Laying eggs is her full-time job. Exercise: 1)学习新单词对我来说非常重要。

动名词作宾语的用法

1.只接v-ing作宾语的常见动词

避免错过(少)延期(avoid, miss, put off) 建议完成多练习(advise, finish, practise) 喜欢想象禁不住(enjoy, imagine, can’t help) 承认否认与妒忌(admit, deny, envy) 逃避冒险莫原谅(escape, risk, excuse) 忍受保持(不)介意

2. 只接v-ing作宾语的常见动词短语

insist on, object to, be good at,

lead to, put off, give up, feel like,

look forward to, devote to, be worth,

在begin, continue, love, like, hate, prefer, intend, start后用动名词和用不定式作宾语均可，意义没有多大区别。

4. 有些动词后跟动名词和跟不定式区别较大，须注意。
