教学目标：

能在同学、教师或图片的帮助下阅读文本并理解故事内容，读懂cavemen, raw meat, earth, heal ,world等生词。

2.

能在阅读过程中积极与他人合作，尝试运用整体阅读、借助图片、上下文联系等阅读策略猜测词义和进行阅读。

能运用Before…

Now…

In the future…句式表达人与自然的变化，感受两者之间的密切联系以及过去、现在及将来的变仳，培养初步的环境保护意识。。

教学重点：

在阅读过程中运用整体阅读、借助图片、上下文联想等阅读策略读懂故事内容，围绕Make it a better place！这一主题开展交流。

教学难点：

能在合作学习中扫除阅读障碍，在主题交流运用Before…

Now…

In the future…句式描述人与自然的联系与变化。

↘读前活动（Pre-reading）

1.

Enjoy a video：Earth is crying 2. Talk about the earth. T:Look at our earth, how does she feel? T：Why is she so sad? Three choices for you . 课件呈现3个选项，学生根据推理倾向作出选择，She’s crying because some people hurt her. T:We should heal the world and make it a better place. Today we’re going to read a story. The title is” (Ss read) Make it a better place!”

通过歌曲直入主题，并利用图片与讨论来帮助学生理解Heal the world!和Make it a better place!两句话，同时进行情感铺垫。

↘读中活动（While-reading）

1.

第一次阅读：看动画选单词

a.

Read and guess 课件出示问题” What does the story talk about?”,再呈现8个单词：reading, cooking, earth ,sun, horses, whales, changes, sports,

T：What does the story talk about? We have some words here. Can you read? 学生在读单词的过程中，教师对于earth和whales进行一定的语音指导。

b.

Watch the video and choose 课件播放动画，引导学生整体观看动画，选出与故事内容相符的单词。

c.

Check and say 师生校对答案，总结提炼出教材故事文本的3个主旨：change of cooking, change of the earth, change of the whales，在课件上加以呈现。

2、

第二次阅读：精读故事。

a．

Read and fill T:What is the change of cooking? What is the change of the earth? What is the change of the whales? T:Please read the story carefully, fill in the blanks. b. check and say T: Look at ____’s worksheet!

d.

理解生词cavemen, raw，human阅读策略指导

3、

第三次阅读：跟读正音，尝试复述。

a.

Listen and repeat 跟读过程中，师就文中的一些细节问题进行提问：What do you think of the house robots? What should we do to help the birds? Humans and whales, who appeared earlier? b.

引入故事之后整体呈现故事内容，学生带着找关键词的任务观看动画，对故事中三段话的主旨有一个主观感受。

通过精读理解各段大意，过程中渗透借助图片和上下文联想生词等阅读策略的指导。

课件呈现地球上过去、现在和将来的变化的一些图片，引导学生看着图片运用Before…

Now…

In the future…对这些变化进行描述。

T：In fact, there are more changes on the earth. Before people usually went to other places on foot. Now we can go by train, by car and by plane. It’s faster. In the future, there will be super cars. We can drive on the road, in the water or in the sky. 2.

Watch ,understand and say. 课件播放表现地球受到各种破坏的动画，引导学生观看进行语言储备和情感渲染。

T:These are all good changes, But there are still some bad changes on the earth. Let’s watch a video. 视频观看后，T:What do you want to say? T:We should try our best to make it a better place. ↘课后作业（Homework）
