教学目标：

一、知识目标：

1、了解掌握重点词汇

:goalkeeper, catch the ball, neck, tallest, teamwork and gate等。

2、正确运用核心句型: How tall are you? How heavy are you? He’s ___ taller than ____.进行交际。

3、理解难点句型：Football is teamwork. He’s almost bigger than the gate. 4、读懂故事，逐步理解，能表演故事。

二、能力目标：

1、培养学生养成良好的“听”的习惯。

2、培养学生自主学习、合作学习的能力。

3、培养学生运用英语的交际、交流能力。

教学过程：

Step One：

Warming- up 1、Greetings 2、Free talk. How tall are you? Who is taller than you? How heavy are you? Who is heavier than you? Step Two：Pre-reading task 1、Show the video of the football game. Then point out the goalkeeper and teach the word “goalkeeper”.

2、Show the sign “ We want a goalkeeper!!” and the animals. Zoom and Zip is looking for a goalkeeper. Who will be the goalkeeper? Step Three：While-reading 1、The first reading. 1）Read the story quickly and quietly. Try to find who will be the goalkeeper. 2) Check the answer. 2、The second reading. Who can’t be the goalkeeper? Why? Read the story carefully and try to choose the best answer. 1)

Mr. Deer can’t be the goalkeeper, because_______. A. He is 10 metres shorter than Mr. Zebra.

B. He is stronger. 2) Mr. Zebra can’t be the goalkeeper, because ________. A. He is taller than Mr. Deer.
