一，教学目标

（一）知识目标：1，能听，说，认读以下词汇：Congress，million,items,Washington D.C....... 2，通过学习能深入了解国会图书馆，并学会用英语介绍图书馆的概况。

（二）能力目标：

1，通过小组活动，增进学生之间的交流，培养学生合作，共享的品格。

二，教学过程

Step one: warming up 1,Greeting and introduce four groups 2, Sing a song together. T: You did a good job ! Let’s play a game ok?

T: Try to say the words quickly ok? Ppt: 飞出图片复习一单元词汇

引出今日主题LIBRARY!

T:Look this is a library. Can you tell me somthing about the library? .......

S:.........

T: There are so many libraries in our life,look (ppt出示学校图书馆图片，海河图书馆图片，中国国家图书馆图片）

Step two：

Presentation 1,lead in T：

Today we will learn another library in the world . It is the biggest library in the world .Do you want to see?(A video about the Library of Congress.)边播放教师边解说

T：Oh biggest（边举卡片边说，学生说... 板书）

2,A story T: Today our friend peter went to this library.Do you want to know what happened? 引入绘本故事

Look and listen together! T: What a wonderful library! Do you like it? S: Yes! 3, Four Tasks T: OK I will give it to all of you! Look!(分发故事书）

You should read it with your partner, and finish the tasks (ppt 出示任务）

Skimming reading is not read words by words. You should read fast by yourself and know the meaning about the whole text.Then try to judge the questions

Read carefully and find the key words or sentences to help you finish the task. You can discuss with your partner.( ppt出示一个画直线的动作）

T: They are so poor .They want to study, want to read books but they can’t afford . So, Let’s help children in need ok？
