虚拟语气用法总结

I虚拟语气在条件状语从句中的应用

(1)虚拟条件句所表的假设则是不可能或不大可能发生或实现的，句中的条件从句与结果主句皆用虚拟语气

If sb+did (be的形式用were)，sb would/ should/ could/ might do(虚拟现在)

If sb had done，sb would/ should/could/ might+ have done (虚拟过去)

If sb did/ should do /were to do，sb would/should/ could/might do(虚拟将来)

If it were not raining, we should go for a picnic If he came here, he might be able to help you If she hadn't called me, I would have overslept this morning 注意：如If引导的非真实条件句中的谓语部分有were，bad，

should时，可以把if去掉，而将were,should,had提到主语的前面，构成倒装结构

Had you not helped me, I should have failed. Were he here, we would have no difficulty with it. Should they attack us, we'll wipe them out completely. Had it not been for your help, we would not have achieved so much. (2)错综(混合)条件句

当条件从句与主句所表的时间不一致时，虚拟语气的形式应作相应的调整。主句和从句的谓

语动词并不相互呼应，这种条件句叫错综(混合)条件句

If I had spoken to him yesterday, I should know what to do now. You would be much better now if you had taken my advice. (3)含蓄条件句

But for your help we couldn't have succeeded in the experiment. What would I have done without you?

I was ill that day ;Otherwise I would have attended the meeting. What would you do with a million dollars? Ⅱ虚拟语气在其他从句的应用

虚拟语气除主要用于条件句外，还用于主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句、同位语从句，定语从句

1）宾语从句在表示提议、要求、命令、坚持等动词后，其谓语用

should+动词原形”( should可以省略)常用的动词有：

记忆方法：“一个坚持、两个命令、三个建议、四个要求”

一个坚持”指insits(坚持要做，坚决要求，强调动作) “两个命令”指

order，

command “三个建议”指

suggest，

advise，

propose “四个要求“指

demand，

request，

require，ask 还有urge(强烈主张、强烈要求)，

desire(渴望，要求) ,recommend(推荐,建议), He suggested that we( should) leave early ☆注意：只有

suggest作“建议”、

insist意为“坚持要，做，坚决要求，强调动作”解时，从句用虚拟语气，当

suggest意为“表明、说明、暗示”，

insist意为“坚持说、坚持认为”时，从句不用虚拟语气

When the son suggested that they should go to park on Sunday, the expression on his father suggested that he agreed with him。当儿子提议星期天去公园时，父亲用表情表示了默许

2)表示“要求、建议、命今”的名词

suggestion，

proposal，order，

advice，

demand，

insistence requirement等作主语，其后的表语从句和同位语从句中的谓语动词一般使用虚拟语气，用

should+动词原形或省去

如：My suggestion is that we should tell him about the accident. It’s suggested that we should tell him about the accident.

3) wish that sb did/ had done/ could( would，might)+动词原形

I wish it were true./I wish you would stay a little longer./I wish you had called yesterday. 4) would rather sb did/had done sth

I would rather you came tomorrow./I’d rather she hadn’t come yesterday.

5）as if/as though+sb did/ had done/ could( would，might)+动词原形

She speaks English so fluently as if she had studied English in America. (先于) He looks as if he were an artist.(同时) She learns English so hard as if he would go to America. (后于) 注意as if/ as though引导表语从句若表示有明显迹象的确实要发生某事时，可用陈述语气，在look, seem，taste，smell后，as if引导的从句中有时要用称述语

It looks as if they are in trouble The milk tastes as if it has gone bad 6）虚拟语气在It’s （high/about ）time （that）

sb did/should do sth 句型中

It’s（

high ）time （that）

we should take measures to deal with the problem. 7）If only sb did/had done sth

Look at the trouble I am in !If only I had followed your advice. 8) It is(was) important/impossible/natural/surprising/strange/ necessary +that sb(should )do sth It is surprising that they should kill the time like that. It's important that we"(should) work out a plan It is necessary that he (should) be sent there at once It's strange that he should say so. 注意：这种句型中的主语从句也可用陈述语气

It was important that he made an exact statement on this experiment last week. 9)

It is a pity( a shame, etc.) that sb (should )do sth It's a pity that you( should )be so late for the meeting
