Ⅱ.Analysis of Textbook:

This lesson is the third lesson of unit 3 which is mainly talking about food. Students have already learned some words and sentences about food and eating. Therefore, it’s not hard for them to learn this lesson. Ⅲ. Analysis of Students:

Students in Grade 3 are almost nine years old, most of them are

curious and active, they can hardly concentrate for a long time in class. So I just set up some activities,such as sing a song , play a game, do some actions, in order to attract their concentration. Based on learning of vocabulary and sentences about food, it’s not difficult for students to understand the contents in this lesson.

Step1: Class Opening

1. Greeting: Good morning, class! How are you today?

2. Warm-up: Let’s sing a song. (Eat and Drink)

3. Lead-in: Have dialogues with students and then with the aid of pictures of food to lead in the topic.

Step2: Presentation:

New concepts:

1. Vocabulary: chicken, fish, fruit, vegetables , like, favourite

2. Sentence construction: I like ____. I don’t like ____.

3. What’s your favourite food? My favourite food is ______.

First, I’ll hold up the picture of chicken and say the

following sentences:”Look! This is chicken. Oh, it’s so yummy. I like chicken.” In this way, I’ll present the sentence”I like chicken.” Second, I’ll explain the word “like” with the aid of picture and action. Third, I’ll ask students to read and repeat the sentence together.

Students can express the food they like and they don’t like. So it’s easy to ask about their favourite food. Meanwhile, I ‘ll explain the word” favourite”.

Ask some volunteers to demonstrate their sentences.
