T plays the song Boy and girl, and introduces the new words ‘a boy’ and ‘a girl’. 2.

Then Ss are encouraged to sing Family song

to review the words about family members. Meanwhile, T introduces the sentence structures ‘Who’s he / she?’ and ‘He / She is …’.

Ss are encouraged to play a game to distinguish ‘Who is …’&‘Who’s …’

and ‘He / She is …’&‘He’s / She’s …’. 4.

Then Ss are expected to say some sentences and sing them out.

T shows Ss the picture of Mike’s uncle and asks ‘Who is he?’, and Ss are expected to listen to the tape and choose. Then Ss are required to read the dialogue of Picture 1. 6.

Then T presents Ss Picture 2 and Ss are expected to guess what Mike says. T then plays the tape and Ss are expected to find out what Yang Ling says. 7.

T shows Ss the picture of Su Yang and asks ‘Who is she?’. Then Ss are required to read the dialogue on their own and find out the answer. Meanwhile, T emphasizes the key sentence structure ‘Who’s that girl?’ and Ss are expected to say ‘Who’s that boy / man?’ as well. 8.

Then T shows Ss Picture 4 and Ss are expected to choose: ‘Who is she?’ or ‘Who’s that girl?’. 9.

T presents Ss Picture 5 and Ss are encouraged to guess the meaning of ‘We’re twins!’. 10.

T plays the cartoon and then Ss are encouraged to read after the tape. 11.

Ss are encouraged to dub and role play.
