Step 1 Greeting

1. Free talk T: Hello, boys and girls. S: Hello, …

T: How are you today? S: I’m fine.

T: I’m great! Thank you! Today, I feel so excited to introduce you my best friend, his name is Ben!

(View pictures about Ben) T: He has a very cool club! Look at his club!

(View pictures of dolls and lead topic in) T: Do you like him? Ss: Yes! T: Would you like to join in his wonderful club and be a cool doll designer? Ss: Yeah! T: Great! I think all of you have received his invitation card!

(Clear off the study aims today ) 2. T: To be a member of club, you need to like cartoons, know parts of body, desctibe dolls and design your own doll! 【设计意图：课堂伊始，以Ben 的形象活跃课堂气氛并引出本单元课题dolls，让学生在轻松愉悦的环境中进入本节课的学习。】

Step 2 Presentation 1. Observing time T: Now let’s begin with the very easy question, do you like cartoons?

(先选一学生作答) S1: Yes! T: Great! I like cartoons, too. Please tick “Yes, I do!”

(屏幕显示Ticking，引导学生动笔打勾) T：Do you guys like cartoons, too? Ss: Yes , I do!

(效仿打勾)

T：Wonderful! We all love cartoons, so you must know who are they.

（屏幕显示哆啦a梦和静香）

Ss: He is... She is...

T：Are they happy? They are smiling with their mouth.

(新授mouth,,黑板上贴词条) T：His mouth is...Her mouth is ...

(引导学生说，新授big, small，黑板上贴词条) T: Who is he? What about his and Jing Xiang’s mouth?

T: What else can you discover?

(屏幕给出提醒，分别新授nose, ears, eyes, 在黑板上贴词条)

T：“Her nose IS small, her mouth IS small”, so we can say “Her nose and mouth ARE small!”

(强调Be 动词的使用) T: Look, AN elephant, AN umbrella, AN eye, AN ear, please pay attention to the vowel. 【设计意图：通过学生熟悉的动漫角色夸张五官的特色让学生初步感知单词

2. Game time: Quick respond T: Let’s play a game with Ben. If you see pictures of facial parts, please read it out aloud for three times, but if you see bombs, please say “BOMB!”.

T: Do you know parts of body now? Ss: Yes!

3. Rhythm time T: Look! Here is the selfie of my friend Ben, he always thinks he is cute, I think that’s true, because his eyes are so big! What do you think? Can you describe him? Ss: (请个别学生尝试描述Ben) T: (出示并总结) Look at the chant he prepares for you!

S: (尝试慢速轻念) T: (带读并加快) Ss: (尝试跟着节奏大声朗读) 【设计意图：通过Ben的自拍导入句型操练的新素材，用英语词令锻炼语感，进一步熟悉新句型His … is/are …，为过渡到Story time的学习做好铺垫。】

Step 3 Story time 1.I can observe(找相同)

T：Her tail is long! This time, Ben also brings you an interesting story about...Look, what is long in her?

T: Please watch the cartoon Ben brings to you and try to answer two questions.

Say it!

T: I think you are quite familiar with girl doll, please discuss with your deskmate first, and try to fill the blanks about the girl doll.

T: We can see her hair, eyes, nose, mouth and nose are facial features, dress and shoes are clothes features, “she is beautiful” is about her unity features. We can also follow this order when we decribe other figures.

Ss : Yes! T: Recently, Ben would like to design a king, he has designed a fat one, a short one, a tall one, a thin one, but none of these he likes, so can you help him and design a better king? Ss: Sure!

T: Today we’ve learned so much and all of you can be a doll designer! Because we can say parts of body...(复习已学身体部位) so after class, please share your design. We can decribe dolls, please talk to your friend about your king and write your talk down. And we can also design our own dolls, please design a doll you like and

prepare for the DOLL SHOW next time.
