Teaching Aims

1. The students will be able to discover and use the structure of the present perfect passive voice.

2. The students will be able to discover the difference between the use of active voice and passive voice of the present perfect tense.

3. The students will be able to introduce some happenings in the city by using the present perfect passive voice. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in (5’)

1. Talk about the film “Transformers”.

2. Talk about robots. Step 2 Discovering the structure (10’)

1. Introduce a robot housekeeper to Ss.

2. Ss discover the structure of the present perfect passive voice by describing what has been done by the robot.

3. Ss pick out the sentences in the present perfect passive voice from the reading text. Step 3 Practice (15’)

1. Change the present perfect active voice into passive voice. 2. Ss write down sentences about their family and school and change them into passive voice. Step 4 Discovering the use (5’)

1. Ss compare the sentences of the present perfect passive voice and active voice and think about the difference. 2. Ss learn about the use of the present perfect passive voice. Step 5 Using the structure (10’)
