一、Teaching aims：

2.Students can listen and comprehend the sentences：There are many animals in the race. But suddenly he tripped and fell. Students can read and comprehend the short text，and complete some general quizzes，and improve their reading abilities and skills. 二、Teaching difficulties：

Teaching procedures

Step1 Warm-up Greetings. Game: Sharp eyes (10 phrases)

Once the expressions come up, students shout out them. Lead-in（by giving a topic）

Step 2 Presentation Listen and imitate

T plays the video. 1) Students listen and try to circle the new words or the difficulties and then the teacher helps to analyses them when necessary.

2）Students imitate the tape（Teacher present the tones’ changes in reading）

Read and exercise.

First reading: Ss skim the passage and number the pictures.(Reading strategy:students try to locate the answers in lines)

Task 1 Can you talk about these pictures?

Second reading: read it carefully and answer the following questions.

Third reading: retell the story. (Teacher presents the

structure of the story by giving a form )

Step 3 Practice Task 2 Listen and fill in the blanks. Ss listen and do the exercise.
