The reading material is from PEP NSEFC Module2 Unit1. The Topic of this unit is cultural relics’ protection. This reading passage mainly tells us the history of the Amber Room, which focuses on the building, losing and rebuilding of the Amber Room. Most of my students know little about the Amber Room and its history, which without doubt will add to the difficulty of my students’ comprehension. However, before the class, I will show them a short video about the Amber Room and let them first learn it on their own, which surely will lessen their difficulty in understanding the passage. Moreover, Students in my class are easily activated by pictures and sounds and they like to air their opinions about something.
