PEP六年级下册English pronunciation patters 长元音的第一课时

学情分析:

掌握好字母发音规律对于学生记忆和拼读单词很有帮助，学生早已厌烦了枯燥乏味的反复背单词的过程。探索一种更高效有趣的学习单词的方式，更能提高学生的学习兴趣和阅读能力。所以把自然拼读融入到小学英语课堂教学中，很有必要，本课我并没有选择六年级的同学，而是选取五年级同学为教学对象。因为在平时上课过程中一直都在渗透自然拼读，所以大家并不陌生，已知道26个字母的字母声和字母名，也已经学习了五个短元音的发音。大家更喜欢这种自己探索总结拼读规律的学习方式。

Listen to the song 《Short vowel song》. Step II. Presentation 1. Talk about the letter name and the long vowel sound.

T: Today, we’re going to talk about the long vowels.Before we talk about

that .let’s talk about the name of the letters.So what is this letter?

Teacher writes down the letter A on the board.

S:It’s A.

T: Yes, you’re right! That’s the name of the letter.In English when we say the alphabet A B C D...we say the those names for those letters. So the long vowel sound is the same as the letter name. 2. Show some long vowel words and summarize the formula cvc+e

T: Let me show you. Let’s take a word “name”. Here is the letter A.

In here the letter A say its name. We call it the long A.

Repeat those steps for long E ,I,O and U.

T:Can you find something? So the rule is this consonant,

vowel,consonant plus E. The end of the word E is silent E. Silent E is that shh...silent. So we don’t pronounce it.So if the word fits this formula cvc+e. The vowels are long vowels. They say their name with the silent E. This rule is not true 100% of the time,but it is true very often.

With this rule we can read more CVCe words. Step III. Practice

1. Teacher shows more cvc+e words.

Students read them.

Teacher shows the sentences.

Students try to read the sentences. 2. Play the game “ I have...who has...?”

How to play: The player with the heart card begins the game by reading the words on the card.(“I have A. Who has B?”) Everyone examines your cards to see if you have the word “B”. If so, they read out your card(“I have B, who has C”). Until a player reads out “

Who has A?”. When the starting player reads “

I have A,”
