Ⅰ. Analysis of the Teaching Contents 本课内容是第四单元的阅读课，故事语境是Zoom和Zip在看杂志，边看边进行交流。故事主要通过人类烹调方式、地球环境以及鲸鱼古今未来的变化，复习巩固并拓展本单元所学的核心语言。

Ⅱ. Analysis of the Students 六年级的学生初步学习了一般过去时，能够初步用过去时语言表达过去发生的事。但是本篇故事信息量大，时态多样，对于学生掌握有一定的难度，另外内容跨度较大，学生对于语言的运用也具有极大的挑战性。
