I、Teaching aims 1. 1. Be able to use the past tense to talk about their weekend.

2. 2. Be able to design a reasonable weekend for Zoom.

3. 3. Be able to grasp some reading and thinking skills.

II、Teaching key and difficult points

1. Be able to use the past tense to talk about their experiences in the daily life.

2. Be able to grasp the proper reading skills, build a foundation for reading independently in the future.

III、Teaching procedures

Step1. Pre-reading

1) Fee talk

Sing a song and talk about last weekend. (eg. How was your weekend? /What did you do? /Did you…?).

2）Brain storming

Present some pictures of different expressions, and talk about their weekend, and then present a picture of tired Zoom from the story, let students to predict the story.

Step 2 While- reading

1) Ask students to read the story quickly and get the answer: How was Zoom’s last weekend?

2) Fill in the tables

Ask students to read the story carefully and underline the activities, fill in the table. (What did Zoom do last weekend?)

3) Listen and repeat

Students listen and repeat the dialog after the video, then read the story in different roles, encourage them to read the story vividly.

Step 3 Post reading

1) Retell the story according to the Mind—map. Encourage students to retell the story by themselves.

2) Design another weekend for Zoom

Zoom’s weekend was busy, he was tired, maybe he fell asleep and had a dream in the class, can you talk about something about his dream. he

dreamed another weekend, ask students to think more different kinds of weekend for Zoom, and design another weekend for Zoom.
