这课的重点是家附近的一些便利场所,了解各地点的名称以及用途,能用英语来解释各个场所的用途。能根据需要来寻找相应的地点名称,学会利用网络来寻找自己需要的信息。整个教学设计通过Sally生病没来学校进行展开,通过网络,来查询需要的信息,以及预料会碰到哪些困难,如何处理,怎样了解周遭的环境,如何靠自己独自解决困难,培养孩子的独自的处事能力。教学最后,设计开放式的问题,设计自己梦想中生活的街区,并说明为什么?

为这单元的结束,我的家埋下伏笔。
