本节课重点是理解掌握本单元中出现的重点词汇、短语和句式。利用合作探究方式构建知识树，并在练习中巩固所学知识。最终达到能够灵活运用所学内容的目的，能体会用英语自由表达的乐趣。

教学活动步骤

Teaching Steps: Step 1.Word Study Play the tape for the words in Unit 1, students read after it. Step 2. Class report

---Talk about the Cultural relics that they know in their local places.. Step 3. Lead-in Ask students to go over the passage IN SEARCH OF THE AMBER ROOM by scanning it and find out some useful words and phrases.Then show some on the screen and ask students to fill in the blanks.

Step 4 Cooperation Ask students to check their answers of the blanks in pairs and then ask some students to write them on the white board and check the answers with the whole class. Then ask individual student to read some of the words,and the others guess the meaning without looking at the words. Step 5 Phrases study Task 1. read and memories some useful phrases. Task 2 use the words and phrases to fill in the blanks. Task 3 Students in pairs check if they can remember the phrases each other. Step 6 Attributive Clauses Ask students to observe the sentences in Exercise3 in students’

book, Page 4,the join the pairs of sentences using attributive clauses. Then ask individual students to write their sentences on the white board. Check the answers by showing them on the screen. Step 7 Promotion and Summary

Ask students to observe the sentences and summary the use of that, which, who, why, where, when, etc. Step 8 Homework 1.

Read the go over the useful words and phrase again after class and try to make sentences with some useful expressions . 2.

Do Exercise 4 in Student’s Book 2,Page 4.
