Interests and Hobbies——（Listening and Speaking）

一、Background：

1．Lesson type：Listening and Speaking 2．Time：45 minutes 二、Analysis of the text：

The emphasis of this period is placed on developing students’ listening and speaking abilities. The topic is “Interests and Hobbies”,which can easily arouse students interests in the class. Besides, I divide the teaching materials into three parts. Between the parts, they are related to each other and also are from easy to more difficult. So, in this way, it coincides with students’ learning thinking and help students learn more positive.

三、Analysis of the learners：

Most of the students are lack of English knowledge, especially in English Listening and Speaking.Some students even are afraid of listening and speaking English.But at this age stage,most of the students’ thinking are active and most of them are willing to express themselves if they have a chance. So,I think the topic “Interests and Hobbies”can arouse their interests and give them confidences to take part in the class.

四Teaching aims：

1.Knowledge aims: (1)Get the students to learn some useful new words and expressions which are related to the topic. (2)Get the students to learn the dialogue patterns . 2.Ability aims: (1)Enable the students to catch and understand the listening materials. (2)Develop the students’ ability to get special information and take notes while listening to the materials. (3)Get the students to learn how to give reasons and opinions . 3.Emotional aims: (1)Get the students to talk about their Interests and Hobbies by using the patterns on giving reasons and opinions.

(2)Develop the students’ sense of group Cooperation Learning and Discussing.

Design ideas: The video shows a group of youths singing and dancing together.The video can attract the students and arouse their interests in the class easily and also help the students feel relaxed. Step 2 Leading in (free talk) T: From the video,we can see that the students are happy and good at singing and dancing, right? And also,we even can say that they have a talent in singing and dancing. T: Do you think it is necessary for a student to have a course to develop their Interests or Hobbies in a club? Ss:...... Design ideas: From the free talk,teacher leads in some difficult or important words and expressions that are related to the following teaching,which helps the students understand and grasp the listening materials far further. Step 3 Presentation Part 1: Before listening a dialogue,teacher shows the main idea of the dialogue on the screen in advance and asks the students to predict the dialogue. As following: 听下面一段对话，完成下面问题。

角色：你是Mary。

任务：（1）与同事Tom谈论业余爱好的问题；

（2）根据谈话内容回答另一同事的提问。

Get the students to translate three questions and write down some important points while the computer is answering the questions by group Cooperative Learning.As following: 1. 你是从什么时候开始喜欢跳舞的？

英语听说测试是高考的必考内容，虽然分值占的比例不高，但随着高考的不断改革，其分值加大的可能性极大，因为语言最基本而又最重要的功能是听与说。本课教授对象是高一学生，而他们中大多数英语基础知识薄弱，英语听说能力更是短板。为了鼓励学生学习英语听说和提高他们的学习积极性，本课选材难度适中，所以大部分学生课堂参与度高，但在课堂开展过程中发现，英语知识十分薄弱的后进生仍然没能融进课堂，组内合作也基本没参与。所以，在以后的教学中，要注意兼顾和适时引导这类学生。
