Step 6 Summary 1.Pay attention to these verbs using -ing forms as the object:admit, advise, allow, appreciate, avoid, complete,consider,delay, deny, enjoy,escape, finish,imagine,keep,

mind,miss,postpone,practise, quit,suggest,stop,can’t stand,can’t help and so on. eg. We must try to avoid repeating the same mistake.

or to infinitive as the object have similar meanings.(like ,love,hate,dislike,begin,start,cease,want,continue,prefer, and so on) eg.I like reading.=I like to read.

3.These words which use -ing or to infinite as the object have different meanings.(forget/remember/regret/mean/try). eg. I forget mailing your letter.≠ I forget to mail your letter.
