一、教学目标
1.能听懂、会说新单词than ,clay ,biggest,
smallest,
tallest ,shortest,
longest
2.理解: This bird is bigger/smaller than the first one.
3.能观察比较事物的大小、高矮、长短。
4能运用形容词构成比较级和最高级的基本规则。
二、重点难点
1、听懂并会说:Tom’s hair is shorter than Mike’s,
2、比较级和最高级的用法。

三、教学过程
Step 1 . Warming Up
1、Greetings.
2、Review:
(1).课件依次闪现几只不同颜色的鸟,T:Which bird is blue/red/yellow/white?复习序数词和颜色类单词。
(2).复习词汇:big small tall short long
3、由简单的句子引入比较级
Step 2. Presentation and Drills
1、老师用课件或卡片呈现四只鸟,引出单词big ,bigger ,biggest. T:Which bird is bigger ,the first one or the second one?
2、用类似的方法导入small—smaller—
smallest tall—taller—tallest, short—shorter—shortest Long—longer--longest
3、Learn Part A.
第一步:听录音,回答问题(自主学习)
How many clay birds did he make?
第二步:听录音,填空(自主学习)

S4:Bear is bigger than tiger.
