Teaching goals Knowledge aim: to help students understand and master the words, phrases in this unit. Ability aim: to enable students to use what they have learnt and use them to make sentences . Emotional aim: to make students realize that learning is a process,so we should learn to enjoy the process rather than pay too much attention to the results. the important and difficult points: The important point is to help students understand and master the vocabularies in the unit.The difficult point is to make students learn to turn what they have learned into their ability. Teaching procedure Step1 Revision Ask two students to write a attributive clause on the blackboard to review the grammar of this unit.

Step 2 lead- in Time is limited for students,so I will use a simple and direct way to lead in my topic by asking ：Up to now ,we have finished Unit 1 Cultural relics.Have you learned and grasped all in this unit? Let’s review them to check what you have learned and waht you haven’t.This is the very time to naturally lead the class into step 3. Step 3 review the words and phrases In this step, I will use task-based language teaching method, which can give students a clear and specific purpose while reviewing the vocabularies. Task one :think of the words and read them The students will be asked to think of the words and read them out according to the Chinese.The purpose of this task is to help students read and memorize the words. Task two: write the words Letting students experience success can increase their interest and feelings of achievement. Based on this theory, I will ask the students to write the words. Step 4 widen their vocabulary A good way for students to increase their vocabularies is to understand and master some new words according to what they

learned.so in this part ,I will add some words to make students understand their correct forms and use them correctly. Step 5 use them properly and correctly Language is learned by communicating. So it’s my job to create an opportunity for students to use the language. The purpose of learning vocabularies is to enable the students to use them in the real language situation.So in this part ,I will give students some exerises with blanks and then ask them to finish them using the words behand. Step 6 Reviwe sentence structures Ask some students to think of the sentence structures according to the chinese meaning.Then ask them to do some translation exercises using the structures. Step 7 writing Ask students to write a short passage using what we have reviewed this class.Students are allowed to discuss with their deskmates according to the chinese. Few minutes later ,ask four students to show their answers. Step 8 homework Finish off the exercise paper and 新新学案P20.
