Reading for pleasure Fantastic Animals 二、教学分析

本版块主要通过阅读学习,了解大自然中几种不同寻常的特质,包括海马、兔子、鸟、乌龟和蜘蛛。大自然如此神奇,每种动物都有自己不同寻常的特点。学生在了解故事的同时,增强英语阅读能力,并从故事中受到鼓励。

三、教学策略

本案例是Reading ,按照英语课程标准的要求,这堂课应当是“以任务贯穿读、听、说的活动,让学生通过感知-概括-应用的思维来增长知识,发展能力”。

1、学生通过自主阅读,提高阅读能力和自主学习能力。

2、在与文本相互作用的过程中,进行意义建构,在理解、思辨的过程中提高学生语言综合运用能力。

四、教学目标

1、知识与技能

Master the new words :feather , normally , rabbit , seahorse , turtle Enable them to grasp the meaning of the story . 2、过程与方法

通过自主阅读,提高阅读能力和自主学习能力;

通过完成任务帮助理解课文意思。

3、情感态度价值观

引导学生关爱动物、保护动物的环保意识。培养学生的探究意识。

Step 1 Warm up and lead in 1.Who’s on duty today ? Ss act a story : Fox and Cock

2.Look ! This is Kami . He likes reading . He’s reading something fantastic . Let’s see what it’s about ? Video Then Ss: Fantastic Animals (齐读)

评价:Look , I’ve got some fantastic cards .

Let’s see who can get more cards . 3.T: Do you like animals ?What animals do you like ? Can you say ? Ss: ... Step 2 Pre-reading

1.Now let’s see what animals Kami is reading ? 出示图片,板贴,Ss talk something about them . Teach the words ,

a. rabbits

big ears , run fast , love carrots , cute , white , grey, their eyes are red ,

b. birds

fly

c. turtule

turtle shell ---protect the turtles d. spiders

8 eyes , 8 legs e.seahorse

t: What’s this ? The horse lives in the sea ?

Ss: No

T: Look . It isn’t a horse . That’s the seahorse .

Step 3 While-reading

1.What amazing phenomenons do these fantastic animals have ? Let’s see . (Show the questions , ss read .) (阅读小提示)

2. Read the text and solve in groups .Then report , others listen . Q1: Why do rabbits have big ears ? Q2: Which dad has babies ? Q3:Why do birds have feathers ?(teach : feather) Q4: Are spiders insects ? (teach :insect) Q5:How long do turtles live ? The turtle can live for a long time .Kami knows more about turtles .Let’s see , what can this little turtle do ?

3. Great ! Kami wants to ask you three more questions : What would happen to a bird if it lost all its feathers ? (it would feel cold ; be ugly , can’t fly ; will die ) What’s the seahorse like ?

How are seahorses different from other animals ?

(CD-ROM ,ppt some mother pictures , 海马生产视频,some animals ,mothers have the eggs , but fathers and mothers take turns brooding the eggs ,for example,the penguins)

4.Listen and read . Practise reading in groups . Then retell .

Step 4 Post –reading

1.OK .Any questions ? Now let’s read and judge .

2.Now Kami is reading something more amazing phenomenons

of the spider . Do you want to know ? Let’s read .(阅读小提示)
