B4 Unit 2 learning about language (Grammar ) The -ing form as the Subject and Object

设计意图

the period of this unit is to help students get more basic knowledge of the grammar, the –ing form as the subject and object. The emphasis of the period id merely placed onthe understanding and usage of the –ing form and knowing some basic sentences of the –ing form as the subject and object . in the meantime , teacher should offer more opportunities to students find the usage and let students to summarize the basis sentences that they have learned.Exercises designed ought to be simple and easy to operate,which is of great help to students’ understanding. 教学重点

Enable students to understand the –ing form as the subject and object. 2.

Enable students to remember the basic sentence patterns which contain the –ing form as the subject and object .This will help them understand some complex sentences. 教学难点

Enable the students to understand sentences containing the usage of the –ing form as the subject and object and be able to distinguish sentence elements that the –ing form does. 教学目标

1.Help students to understand some basic usges of the Non-Finite Verbs. 2.Enable students to know how to use the –ing form as the subject and object. Teaching Procedures:

Step 1

Lead in

Hello ,everyone ,today we are going to learn something more about the-ing form as the subject and object .look at the screen. 1.什么是主语(subject)?什么是宾语(object)?2.什么词可作主语?什么词可作宾语? 我喜欢阅读。

I like reading. 阅读是我的兴趣。Read is my interest.

动词原形不能做主语或宾语。

V-ing形式能做主语或者宾

Step 2.

Show some pictures about V-ing form as subject. Purpose: To get Ss to have knowledge of this grammar point: V-ing form as subject. 总结：V-ing做主语直接位于句首

用形式主语it，把真正的主语ing形式移置句尾。但这种句子形式有一定的限制，作表语的只能是某些形容词或少数名词，如

接-ing形式做宾语与接不定式作宾语均可,但含义完全不同的动词

记得做了remember doing 记住要做remember to do 忘记做了forget doing

忘记要做forget to do 后悔做了regret doing/having done

遗憾要做regret to do 想做feel like doing 愿意做would like to do 停止做stop doing 停下来做stop to do Step 5
