Unit 4 I have a pen pal PA Let's talk教案Teaching aims:

1)Ss will be able to listen, say , read and write the words “hobby” and “pen pal”, and read and say the words “puzzle”, “jasmine”and “hobbies”.

2)Ss will be able to use the sentence structures “What are your hobbies?”

“What’s Peter’s hobbies?”“He/ She like reading stories.” and so on.

3)Ss can use these words and sentences correctly to talk about their hobbies or the hobbies of their friends or pen pals.

4)Ss will have a good understanding of the jasmine and what it means to Chinese people.

Teaching key and difficult points:

1)Ss will be able to listen, say, read and write the key words key sentence structures and can use these correctly to talk about their hobbies or the hobbies of their friends or pen pals.

2)Ss will have a good understanding of the flower--jasmine and will love Chinese traditional culture and love to show it to others, especially foreigners. Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Warm up

1)Greeting

T: Good morning, boys and girls. Sit down please.

2)Elicit “Jasmine”

T: Can you sing along? Do you know the name of the song?

Ss: 茉莉花。

T: Yes, it’s English name is “Jasmine”.

Jasmine, Jasmine.

Ss: Jasmine, Jasmine.

Ss: It’s Jasmine song.

Step 2 Preview

1)A short story

T: Let’s enjoy a story.

Zip’s Mother: Tea is ready.

Zoom: You like tea a lot.

2) Enjoy and answer.

2)Elicit “I like ….”

T: What do you like?

T: Can you guess what I like?

Pen pal
