Unit 3

Computers Learning about Language (the first period) Teaching contents: 1.

Deal with the exercises 1and 2 to enhance the memory of the new words. 2.

Deal with the exercise 3 ,learning to create a story of your own. Key point: Master and learn to use the key words as basic knowledge. Difficult point: Learn to create a story of the students’ own imitating the sample. Teaching procedure: Step one: Revising the knowledge we learned in the past period 1.

Ask three students to read out the text Who Am I for the whole class. 2.

Have a dictation of the key words, phrases and sentences in the reading passage. Step two: New lesson 1.

Give the students a few minutes to finish exercise 1, and then we check their answers by asking one student to show his/hers. We will give him/her timely correction. 2.

Give the students a few minutes to complete the passage in exercise 2, and then ask a students to show his/her answers, we’ll, too, give him/her timely correction. 3.

When we are dealing with exercise 3, we will first ask the students to read the sentences in My Story quietly, trying to experience them, especially blue parts of the sentences, so that they can learn to develop a similar story of their own. Having finished this task, guide them to imagine and create a story as the tips in Your Story. About 10 minutes later, we’ll ask them to share their stories in small groups, and choose the best one of the group to share in the whole class. 4.
