Unit 1 My Neighbourhood Lesson 1 教材内容分析:

本课时的教学内容为restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇。

学生情况分析:

四年级学生已经具备了一定的英语知识储备,他们以前学过表示场所的词汇和功能句:Where is the...?It's...为这节课教学顺利开展打下基础。

教学目标:

1.

能够听懂、会说restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表达场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇;能够根据语境恰当使用,并能借助拼读规律认读和识记生词。

2.

能够询问并描述某个场所在什么位置。

3.能够根据语境,选择本课所学词汇将句子补充完整,并且做到书写规范。

教学重点:能够听懂、会说restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇。

教学难点:Restaurant的读音及描述某个场所在什么位置。

教学过程:

Step 1. warming up 1.

Greeting 2.

Sing an English song Step 2. Leading- in T: Look at the picture.(PPT) We can see a restaurant, a bank, a grocery, a hospital, a bookshop ...Where are they? Ss: Neighbourhood. T: Yes. Neighbourhood. Ss: Neighbourhood Step 3. Presentation 1.

(PPT) T says Guess: When we hungry, we can eat or drank there. What place is it?and then let students answer “ Restaurant”. 2.

T asks “What can we do there?”and help students answer “ We can eat delicious and drink some juice. 3.

Write this word “restaurant” on the blackboard and read. 4.

Let students pay attention to pronunciation of word "restaurant". 5.

Spell this word one by one. 6.

Make the sentence by using “restaurant”. 7.

Teach the other words by using the same way. 7.T draws two circles on the blackboard and says “The yellow

circle is next to the white circle.

Then asks What’s the meaning of next to? 8.Write “next to” on the blackboard and let students make a sentence by using the phrase " next to". 9.Read this phrase one by one. 10.Teach the other phrases “across from, between” by using the same way. 11.Play a game: T shows pictures and students say words quickly. Step 4. Practice 1.

(PPT)Shows a picture and asks “Where is the restaurant?”

and helps students answer “ It’s across from the bank.”

Write the sentence “

Where is...? It’s...”on the blackboard. 3.

Here is the dialogue of Part B. Listen to the recorder and read 4.

Work in pairs. 5.

Make a dialogue and then act out it. Step 5. Consolidation Describe their neibourhood. Step 6. Homework 1.

Read the words and repeat the dialogue to your parents.
