一、教学目标

知识和技能目标

1、学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇:tiger, bear, long. short

2、学生能认读、理解并使用下列句式:It’s long. It’s short.

3、学生能唱歌曲:Big and Small

学习策略

1、在课堂学习中集中注意力,注意倾听,积极思考。

2、通过小组合作,积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。

情感态度

通过唱歌,做游戏等多种形式激发学生学习兴趣。

二、教学重、难点

重点:tiger, bear, long. short单词的认读及掌握

难点:1、Its __ is ____.句中its 的发音及与it’s的区别。

2、能运用所学句型描述小动物。

三、教学过程

Step 1 Class opening and review

1.Greeting

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, Ms Liu.

T: How are you?

S: I’m fine, thanks. And you?

T: Very well, Thanks.

2.Let’s play a game. Big or small, fat or thin?(学生根据老师的指令做动作)

3.Talk about the animals .(panda monkey elephant)

What can you see at the zoo? What colour is it ?

Is it big/ small/ fat/ thin?

Step 2. New Concepts

1. Introduction

教师出示多媒体图片教学单词

T: What’s this? It’s a tiger. 领读单词,板书。学生齐读,单个读至较熟练。

T:Is this a tiger? Is it big? Is it fat?

同法教单词wolf bear和snake。教学时注意元音及字母组合的发音,让学生从个各个角度对单词有全面认知。教师要运用所学过的句子What’s this? Is this a ___? Is it fat/thin/big/small? What colour is it? 引导学生对知识的全面掌握。在练读单词过程中评价。

3. Listen to a song.

4. PPT呈现动物图片对比教学long short。

5. Learn the text.

T: Look. It’s an elephant. 指鼻子,It’s long. Its nose is long. (指尾巴)This is a tail. Its tail is short.

教师鼓励学生用It’s ___. Its___ is ___.描述大象特征。如,It’s big. It’s fat. Its nose is long.

T: Can you say something about the elephant?

同样借助PPT,鼓励学生描述兔子的外貌特征。教师可适时提示。

学习句子It’s short. Its ears are long.强调ears是复数。

T: Jenny and Li Ming are visiting a zoo, too. Let’s watch a video. 教师让学生观看第二部分视频,进行跟读模仿,提醒学生注意句子Look at the elephant.中the的弱读,并让学生练习单词和句子的正确发音。

Step 3. Practice

Talk about the animals in pairs.

Step 4. 小组展示,教师总结各组的具体表现,并予以评价。
