Let students learn some knowledge about Australia. Teaching aids: blackboard, chalks, PPT, Text-book Teaching method: communicative approach, Task-based

Step 1. Warm up ( 5 mins ) Let students look at some pictures and distinguish which pictures relate to Australia. Step 2. Presentation (20 mins) a)

Teach the new phrases and words; b)

Students learn to say these words and phrases; c)

Read the text and and understand it. Step 3. Summary ( 3 mins) The usage of the important structures and words. Some knowledge about Australia. Step 4. Practice (10 mins) Let students read the text and answer some questions.

Step 5. Homework (2 mins) Read the text and answer the questions in the book.
