Unit 2 Cities Lesson 1 教学设计

一、教材内容分析
本课时的教学内容为A Look, listen and repeat, B Ask and answer, C Let’s write. A部分借助城市图片呈现五个目标词汇:city, street, sports centre, hotel, square,让学生通过看、听、说、做等途径来感知、理解并学习这些词汇。B部分通过对话活动,帮助学生操练词汇,并体会词汇在交际情景中的运用。C部分为让学生根据语境选择合适的词填空。
二、学生情况分析
四年级的学生通过第一单元的学习,学习了restaurant, post office, bank, grocery, crossroads等表示场所和地理位置的词汇;以及
across from, next to, between等表示方位的词汇;指路短语Turn left, turn right, go straight以及问路的功能句:Excuse me. Is there a … in the neighborhood? How can I get to …? Go straight and turn left at the first crossroads. It’s between the bookstore and the grocery. Thank you. You’re welcome.这些都为这节课的顺利学习打下基础。
三、教学目标
通过本节课的学习,学生能够达到以下目标:
1. 能够听懂、会说
city, street, sports centre, hotel, square等表示城市中常见场所的词汇,以及buy toys, see a film, go boating 等表示活动的短语,并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词。
2. 能够询问某个场所的位置,并能描述某个场所的位置。
3. 能够根据语境,选择本课所学词汇将句子补充完整,并且做到书写正确、规范。
四、教学重难点
教学重点:能够听懂、会说
city, street, sports centre, hotel, square等表示城市中常见场所的词汇,以及
buy toys, see a film, go boating 等表示活动的短语。
教学难点:询问某个场所的位置,并能描述某个场所的位置。
五、教学步骤
1.创设情境
热身(朗诵英文儿歌)
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Miss Hou. T: Do you like reciting? Ss: Yes! T: Let’s read this poem.(点击课件)
设计意图:四年级的孩子们仍然喜欢游戏。通过角色扮演来朗诵诗歌的活动,复习以前学习过的有关本课的名词,激活学生以往的知识,同时在紧张愉快的氛围中让他们迅速进入学习英语的状态之中。

学生两人一组对话,班内展示,及时评价。
设计意图:由复习单词,词组到复习句子,其目的是为这节课做下铺垫。

复习上一单元的单词,与本课巧妙衔接,导入新课。

设计意图:将世界著名的广场与学生分享,扩充了学生地理知识,同时巩固了square一词。

○设计意图:教师与学生互动,做“猜猜看”的游戏,利用击鼓传花的趣味性,来激发学生的学习兴趣,在猜图片中的地点的同时,也巩固了新词词汇。
