教学设计Unit 2 Sailing the oceans Learning about language The Predicate and Agreement Teaching Aims:

1.

Revise one of the sentence elements ---the Predicate and do plenty of exercises to consolidate what we have revise. 2.

Study Agreement to improve the students’ ability to use the English language. 3.Develop students’ competitive and cooperative spirits.

Teaching Important Points: 1.

How to choose the proper form of the Predicative in order to express what we want to say. 2. Help the students to make a summary of the usage of agreement.

Teaching Difficult Points: How to choose a proper predicate according to its subject.

Teaching Methods:

1. Discussion method to let the students have a clear understanding and to develop students’ cooperative spirits . 2. Hold a competition to develop students’ competitive spirits and to make every student engaged in all the activities in class. 3. Lead in by a song to stimulate students’ interest.

Teaching Aids: 1. a computer; 2. normal teaching tools

Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in 1.

Let students listen to a song-I DO IT FOR YOU carefully and fill in some blanks. 2.

Check the answers by asking some students to show their answers. 3.

Ask students what element the underlined parts serve as. 设计意图：用歌曲导入既能迅速吸引学生的注意力，又能激发学生的学习兴趣和学习热情，而且能有效缓解学生对语法课的恐惧心理。

Step 2 Learn the definition and structure of the Predicate

1.

Ask students: What is the Predicate? Ask some students show their opinions and then show the definition. 2.

Ask students: What is the Predicate made up of? Show some examples to help students understand the structure of the Predicate. 设计意图：通过一些具体的例子让学生自己归纳谓语的定义和结构，一方面能加深学生对知识的理解和构建，另一方面能培养学生的独立思考习惯和自主学习意识。

Step 3 Learn the five basic structures of the Predicate 1.主语+系动词+表语

The Yellow Mountain is a beautiful place. He looks tired. 2.主语+谓语

The teacher encourages students to study hard. Her performance made her parents very proud. 设计意图：通过一些通俗易懂的例句，可以帮助学生更好地理解谓语的五种简单句基本句型，还有助于提高学生的造句能力。

Step 4 Learn the tenses and voices of the Predicate 1.Let students say some important tenses. 2.Let students say the voices of the Predicate. 3.Let students compete to write out the structure of the Active and Passive Voice of each tense. 4.Show the answers. 时态

设计意图：通过一些实例讲解主谓一致，能有效促进学生的理解，更能提高学生使用谓语的准确性。

3. It’s the first step that costs. 万事开头难。 设计意图：通过诵读谚语，不仅能有效促进学生对本节课知识的理解，还能激发学生的兴趣和帮助学生积累好句子。

Step 8 Homework 1. Remember the grammar rules. 2. Finish the related exercises in your textbook. 设计意图：通过更多的练习巩固学生对本节课知识的理解和掌握，因为Practice makes perfect。

教学反思：

本节课通过丰富多彩的教学活动基本达到了预设的教学目标，总的来说，我对以下几点较为满意。

首先，我用一首英文歌曲导入，改变了常规的单调乏味的语法课堂模式，能有效激发学生的学习兴趣和学习热情。其次，我用很多通俗易懂的例子帮助学生理解和归纳知识，通过让学生自己归纳知识，培养学生的独立思考习惯和自主学习意识。第三，我通过对学生进行

分组和开展小组活动，培养学生的团队合作意识和竞争意识，激发学生的学习热情。

但本节课也有一些不足之处：有时给学生的思考时间有点短，主谓一致讲得不够细致。

因此，今后我在教学方面还要加强学习，从网上学习，向同事学习，多反思多总结，争取不断进步。
