Love is asking to be loved. Love is you, you and me. Love is knowing we can be. Love is free; free is love. Love is leaving; leaving love. Love is needing to be loved. （设计意图：通过动听的歌曲自然引入Ving,提高了学习兴趣，并让学生了解到Ving,不能单独作谓语，没有人称和数的变化，可以有自己的宾语和状语。还有时态和语态的变化。）

一般式 doing being done 完成式 having done having been done 动词的-ing 形式包括现在分词和动名词，在句中可以作：

主语、表语、宾语、补语、定语和状语。a reading room= a room for reading 。the dancing girl =the girl who is dancing（定语）

。Having sports is good for our health.（主语）Combine the two sentences by using “v-ing”.

The woman is having lessons. She is my English teacher. The woman having lessons is my English teacher. （设计意图：通过幻灯片展示和讲解，让学生了解V-ing可以充当各种成分。让学生对V-ing可充当的成分有个大概的了解。）

动词-ing 作主语

1.动词-ing 形式作主语时，多表示经常性、习惯性的动作，谓语动词多用单数形式。

Playing with fire is dangerous.表示一般或抽象的多次行为。Be careful! To play with fire will be dangerous.表示具体的或一次性的动作。

形式主语it代替 -ing形式作主语的常见结构：

（1）It is +a waste of time doing… 做……是浪费时间的

（2）It is +no (good\use\fun)+ doing… 做……没好处、没用、没意思

（3）It is +adj. +doing sth. It is/feels funny doing sth.做某事（感觉）很滑稽

It is useless doing sth. 做某事无用

It's worthwhile doing sth.做某事是值得的

（4）There be + no + doing（joking/knowing…）

=It’s no good playing computer games. (设计意图：形式主语it代替 -ing形式作主语的常见结构，在学习中和高考中都常见，也是难点之一，该步骤加深了学生对v-ing作主语的理解。

1）只接v.-ing作宾语的常见动词

avoid, miss, advise, finish, practise，enjoy, imagine, admit, deny, envy, escape, risk, excuse, stand, keep, mind等。

2）只接v. -ing作宾语的常见动词短语insist on, object to, be good at, lead to, put off,give up, feel like, look forward to, devote to, be worth, get used to, pay attention to等。

动词或短语forget, go on, mean, regret, remember, stop, try, be used to, can’t help后跟动名词和跟不定式区别较大，需注意。forget, regret, remember后跟动名词表示已经发生的动作；后跟不定式表示将要发生的动作。

mean to do 想要做某事 top doing 停止做某事

stop to do 停下来（做别的事）

try doing 尝试着做某事

try to do 努力做某事

be used to doing 习惯于做某事 be used to do 被用来做某事

can’t help doing 禁不住做某事

can’t help （to）do 不能帮助做某事

4) need/want/require/deserve doing sth.=need/want/require/deserve to be done.g. My hair needs cutting.= My hair needs to be cut. （设计意图：该步骤设计旨在详细列出与v-ing相关的知识点也是难点）
