the use of “it”

Teaching aims: I. Learn some usage of “it”

II. Encourage students to perform themselves. Teaching important points:

“ it ”

as a formal subject or a formal object

Step1:

lead- in

猜谜guess:

Or a girl?

Summary 1: 指婴儿或人称性别不确定时，用____代指人.

Step2: look at the pictures and answer the questions.

Picture1: what time is it?

Pictuere2: how is the weather? Picture3:How much is it? Summary 2:It can be used to talk about ____, ______ or _______ and so on.

Step3: Find the structures about sentences.(提炼句子的结构，并判断it在句中所做的成分) 1.It is difficult to translate this article. 2.It was a hard job for him to make a living. 3.It is amazing that at my age I am still fit. 4.It is a wonder that he is still alive.
