Our Visit to the Museum of Hebei Province The Museum of Hebei Province was built again in 2006 and open to the public again free in 2013. The whole building is of good design and the style of the decoration of it is modern and fashionable. The museum collects a great number of cultural

relics, such as paintings, vases, jewels, stone sculptures (雕刻) and so on. Some are not seen or found very often and some are valuable. Last Month, we paid a visit to the museum. At the entrance of the museum, we stood in a queue. Then we came to the welcome area in the museum. Local teachers in the museum gave us some requirements. For example, we should keep quiet. And then a tall and beautiful maid teacher guided us to visit the museum. A very surprising exhibition called “jade clothes sewn with gold wire” left us a deep impression. Obviously, it isn’t made of wood but is made of jade and sewn with gold wire. “The treasure belongs

to a dead former king of Han Dynasty. Selected jade is in the shape(形状) of a rectangle (矩形). Already it has survived a long time. Its color is like yellow shiny honey. The length of it is not more than 190 centimetres. It was found in 1968 by a troop

of soldiers who blew up the mountain trying to find a mine. People have a very good opinion of the treasure.” said the teacher. In return
