Ability aims: 1. Let students read two passages to develop their reading ability. 2.Enable students to realize the reading requirements of the Test Syllabus. Emotion aims: 1.By appreciating Chinese poems and reading passages, make sure students can realize the importance and power of Chinese culture. 2.Arouse students’ interests and enthusiasm in learning Chinese culture. 3.Develop students’ sense of cooperative learning. Teaching important points: Get students to become interested in Chinese culture by reading passages. Teaching difficult points: 1.Get students to have a good command of the reading skills.

1. Let students appreciate a poem. 2. Play a short video 3. Design some questions for students to think about.

Step 2: Reading 1.Get students to read the first passage and answer the corresponding questions. 2.Summarize the reading requirements of the Test Syllabus. 3.Let students discuss how to solve these kinds of questions. Step 3: Exercise Get students to apply the reading skills to doing exercises and understand another Chinese traditional culture. Step 4: Summary 1.Ask students to think about the following questions. As Chinese, do we really know how to appreciate every aspect of poems or other traditional culture?

Do we really realize the importance and power of the cultural heritage?
