Conclusion: Generally “ Play on words” and “ Tell a short funny story” are the two main techinques used in jokes.

“ play on words”----misunderstanding of the word

“ Tell a short funny story”----an unexpected ending

Example:

An animal sports meeting was going on. A duck and a crab arrived at the finishing line at the same time. The judge asked them to play Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who is the winner. But the duck says “ No”.

Because the duck only has “ paper” while the card always uses scissors.

A man with two red ears went to see his doctor. The doctor asked him, “What happened to your ears?” The

man said, “ I was ironing a shirt and the phone rang but instead of picking up the phone, I accidentally picked up the iron and stuck it to my ear.”

The doctor said, “ Oh, dear! What happened to your other ear?”

The man answered angrily, “ The stupid man called back!”
