Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Leading in 1.

Let students look at the learning aims of this class. 2.

Watch a video. Then think some questions. 1). Do you hear of this music? 2). Do the animals realize their dream? 3). How are you feeling after seeing the video? Why?

4). Do you know some other endangered animals? 3. Sharing: before the class, I asked you to search for some information about endangered animals. Who want to share it with us? 4. Let students find out why the animals are in danger of disappearing. There are some pictures to help them, and they can also discuss with their partners. 5. Make a conclusion: if we continue to ignore all these factors, these endangered animals may die out. They do need help. This is called wildlife protection. Next we will learn a passage about it.

Step 2 Skimming

First let students skim the passage , then answer the questions.

Who is the character of the passage? How did she travel? Where did she go? What animals did she visit? What did she learn from the travelling? 2.

Sum up the main idea of the passage according to the questions. Step 3 Careful reading 1.

Read para.1 and answer the questions. How did the antelope feel? Why do people kill them? What situation is the antelope in ? 2
